Objective

Create a playable board game and pitch the game in front of judges.

Competitors’ board game will be judged on:

  • Fun: Evidence that this game will be a fun satisfying experience for the intended audience

  • Theme: Evidence of immersing us into the world and narrative via gameplay and stand in art assets

  • Creativity: Evidence of in offering some unique, different, and novel to the board game industry for the intended audience

  • Game Engine and Mechanics: Evidence of gameplay and innovation in gameplay with respect to the target audience

  • Replayability: Evidence that this game will have replay value as well from a gameplay and box-to-table standpoint with respect to the target audience

  • Balancing: Evidence of playtesting, calibrating, and making the game a fair, balanced experience

  • Marketability: Evidence that this game is likely to be successfully bought and sold in the general market considering price and audience

  • Pitch/Presentation: Evidence of being clear, compelling, thorough, and concise in explaining all components of their presentation

Online pitching: March 5, 2021, 3:30pm Pacific Time.


Who Is Eligible

All students who have been enrolled in classes at Elite Educational Institute between December 2020 and February 2021. Students must submit original work.


Award recognition

Finalists: Copy of best selling board game Rival Restaurants and opportunity to intern for leading board game company. 

All winners will be notified via email, and the names of winners will be announced on the CFGL website.
